An early morning collision in Daleville left occupants of two cars shaken and both vehicles heavily damaged.

A late model red Hyundai Accent was traveling on U.S. Hwy. 84 and allegedly went through a red light when it was struck by a 2007 Hyundai Tucson, carrying a mother and her her two children, a three-year-old and and nine-year-old. The mother was on her way to Windham Elementary School to drop the older child off.

Air bags deployed in both vehicles which were taken away by wrecker. Seat belts and child restraint seats were in use.

No injuries were apparent and no ambulance was called.
