The Dale County Sherriff’s Department is asking the public for any information about the whereabouts of a Clayhatchee man being sought in connection with allegations of sexual abuse.

Dale County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy Mason Bynum said Sept. 7 that the department was contacted by the Dale County Department of Human Resources Aug. 24 in reference to allegations of sexual abuse.

During the course of the investigation, law officers were able to obtain enough information to obtain a warrant for the arrest of Kent Leo Fry, 54, from Clayhatchee, according to Bynum

“Based on statements and other investigative measures, we believe Fry has fled the area to avoid arrest,” Bynum said.

Any person with any information on the whereabouts of Fry are asked to contact the Dale County Sheriff’s Office at (334) 774-2335 or visit www.daleso.com and click on the crime tip section to leave an anonymous tip.

Bynum said the warrant is being turned over to United States Marshal Service’s Gulf Coast Fugitive Task Force. Due to the sensitivity of the crime and age of the victim, limited information will be released, Bynum said.
