• The Archdiocese United Christian Fellowship, International will host the Third Annual Holy Convocation on July 22 – 26. Registration takes place on Monday, July 22, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Worship services will convene Monday, July 22 – Thursday, July 25 at 7 p.m., with Superintendent W. Keith Ellison as the guest minister. The Celebration Banquet will be on Friday, July 26, at 6:45 p.m. Banquet tickets are $15 per person. Daily classes will be instructed on Tuesday thru Friday, July 23 – 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., and registration is required. • On Friday, July 26, the Alabama Cooperative Extension System will be conducting an athletic turf management meeting featuring Dr. Dave Han, turf specialist from Auburn University. The meeting will be held in Ozark at the Dale County Extension Office and is recommended for anyone who manages athletic turf. Topics to be discussed are mowing, aeration, topdressing, irrigation, drainage, fertility, overseeding, pest management and soil testing. Pitcher mounds and skinned areas of an athletic field will also be discussed. The meeting will be held from 8:30 a.m. till 3 p.m. at the Dale County Extension Office in Ozark. • The Daleville Lions Club meets at 6 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month at Mafoosky’s Deli on Daleville Avenue.
