Dale County man dies in crash

A single vehicle crash has claimed the life of a Dale County man.

According to a release from Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Dothan Post Commander Sgt. Michael Simmons, at 8:50 p.m. Sunday, July 14, David William Williams, 51, of Ariton, was killed when the 1985 Chevrolet pick-up truck he was driving left the roadway and overturned.

Williams was not using a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle, the release stated. The accident occurred on Highway 27, seven miles west of Abbeville.

Nothing further is available as ALEA State Troopers continue to investigate.
