A pair of New Brockton Gamecocks made the South roster for this summer's AHSAA North-South All-Star Football Game.
Max Weeks and Clay Kelley were named to the rosters.
"I think means a lot for us, the hard work these guys have put in," NBHS football coach Justin Jones said. "Really, it's a team deal because it's kind of putting our team on the map to have another (player) from our school playing in an all-star game."
The game is scheduled for 7 p.m. July 20 at Cramton Bowl in Montgomery.
Weeks followed a second-team all-state selection as a punter in 2015 with a second-team all-state selection as a kicker last season.
In 2016, Weeks punted 25 times for 1,067 yards and a 42.7-yard average. He had five punts downed inside the 5-yard line and a total of 10 of his punts were downed inside the 20. Weeks was ranked 14th nationally as a punter by Prokicker.
Kelley was also a two-time, second-team all-state player at New Brockton, for both his junior and senior seasons, as a defensive back.
He had 100 tackles, three for loss, five fumble recoveries, two forced fumbles and three defensive touchdowns. He also had 1,182 yards and 19 touchdowns on the ground with 95 carries. He caught 13 passes for 352 yards and five touchdowns last year.
"Everybody's recognizing the things these (players) are doing," Jones said. "To have two guys on the roster make it from our school is a big deal."
