Bond was set Jan. 3 for an Enterprise man accused of the attempted murder of a police officer.
Coffee County District Judge Paul Sherling set Thomas Mark Boucher’s bond for $800,000 — $200,000 for each of the four counts attempted murder following an alleged New Year’s shooting with Enterprise police.
Boucher was arrested around 1:30 a.m., after Enterprise police responded to a domestic call on Frisco Drive.
“After speaking with the complainant, officers searched the residence in an effort to locate the second party. When officers entered into the back yard of the residence, they were met with gunfire from Boucher …,” said Sgt. Steve Russell, public information officer with the Enterprise Police Department, in a press release.
The officers returned fire, but were able to take Boucher into custody without any injuries.
Officer Chris Millard was grazed by a bullet, but was wearing a protective vest and did not suffer any serious injuries.
Boucher must wear a GPS ankle monitor, may not possess any firearms and have no contact directly or indirectly with the victims should he make bond, according to court records.
