A strong cold front is approaching the Wiregrass area bringing high winds and low temperatures.
According to the National Weather Service, the area will remain under a wind advisory until 9 p.m. this evening as the gusty winds will come in before and after the front has passed.
Residents can expect gusts up to 30 mph in the afternoon with a few gusts reaching 40 mph.
Officials with the Coffee County Emergency Management Agency urge residents to secure loose objects outside like trashcans and patio furniture.
Residents are also urged to use caution while driving, especially in high profile vehicles and be cautious of falling tree limbs.
Temperatures tonight are expected to be in the mid to upper 20s.
