A two-vehicle crash claimed the life of an Enterprise woman on Wednesday morning.

Jessica Marie Gainey, 24, was killed when she lost control of the 2011 Nissan she was driving at about 11:20 a.m. on Coffee County 711 and struck a second vehicle.

Gainey is a 2006 graduate of Enterprise High School and mother of daughter, McKenzie Speigner, and son, 4-year-old Trey Pittman. Funeral services were Saturday, at 11 a.m., at Searcy's Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed at Meadowlawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Friday, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the funeral home.

The crash occurred less than a mile from Enterprise. Gainey was not wearing a seat belt. She was pronounced dead on scene. No other information is available at this time as troopers continue to investigate.

Gainey's eight-month-old daughter was in the vehicle and was injured during the accident. She was flown to a Dothan hospital by Fort Rucker's Flatiron Medevac unit. According to reports, she is in stable condition.

Witnesses of the accident said two men were in the truck at the time of the collision.

The passenger reportedly suffered non life-threatening injuries and was receiving medical attention at Medical Center Enterprise.

Emergency personnel including Battens Volunteer Fire Department, Enterprise Police and Fire departments and the Coffee County Sheriff's Department assisted state troopers at the scene of the wreck.
