Stan Sauls is returning to Enterprise High School for a third time as the new assistant principal.

He will fill the position of former Assistant Principal Brent Harrison, who was hired as the principal of Charles Henderson High School in Troy.

Sauls began his teaching and coaching career at EHS in 1996. He left to teach at Dothan and Prattville High Schools before returning to the Enterprise school system. He taught at Dauphin Junior High School and EHS before he became assistant principal at Enterprise Junior High School in 2012.

He was also the assistant principal at Dauphin Junior High School for the 2014-15 school year.

Sauls said that how the students learn in the classroom was one area he is interested in.

He said the programs offered at EHS, such as AP classes or those focused on a specific career, help with preparing students for the world after high school.

"Academically, helping the students become more engaged in the classroom is important," Sauls said. " It's all about getting the students more prepared for the world today. We have a lot of tremendous programs and opportunities for the students. "

Sauls said he already feels at home at EHS because he has worked with some of the school's faculty in the past.

"I'm very familiar with the teachers and faculty members here," Sauls said. "I've already built relationships with many of the faculty here, and I'm excited to build relationships with those I don't know yet."

EHS Principal Matt Rodgers welcomed Sauls back to EHS.

"We are excited to welcome Mr. Stan and Lori Sauls to the Wildcat Family," Rodgers said. "Mr. Sauls is an outstanding person and an excellent administrator. He will represent EHS with class and dignity.

"I am excited about Stan coming back to EHS and serving in an administrative role. He will serve our school well."

"I just couldn't think of a better system to work in," Sauls said. "I'm very fortunate to have this opportunity."
