The local Extension Office is proud to invite all eligible junior beef exhibitors to the 2013 Coffee County Invitational Heifer & Prospect Steer Show, scheduled for Aug.16-17 at the Coffee County Farm Center in New Brockton.
The check-in time for all show entries is noon to 5 p.m., Aug. 16.
Showmanship classes will begin at 6 p.m. following registration and the Heifer showing will be at 9 a.m., Aug. 17, followed by the prospect steer show.
Unfortunately, local drought conditions have created extremely tight hay supplies.
Currently, there are no plans of selling hay for bedding, so exhibitors are responsible to make their own individual plans for any bedding needs their calves might have.
The entry fee is $15 per calf for both heifers and steers, and all entry fees must accompany an official entry form.
The entry deadline is Aug. 12 and all entries received after that day must pay an additional late fee of $20 per exhibitor, in addition to the $15 per-calf entry fee.
All paid entry fees are invested into the show premiums and therefore, no refunds will be given.
Please make checks payable to Coffee County Extension.
Payments and official entry forms can be sent to:
