Woman shot multiple times in Level Plains

Dale County Sheriff’s deputies and members of the Level Plains Police Department responded to reports of multiple-gunshot victim at the Holiday Village trailer park Dec. 16.

According to a press release from the Dale County Sheriff’s Department, the Ozark-Dale County E911 received the call around 10:55 p.m., and first responders located a female victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds at the scene.

Deputies secured the scene while Enterprise Rescue Inc. and Level Plains Fire Department personnel treated the victim.  

The victim, who will not be identified, was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition with what is believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Dale County sheriff’s investigators responded and processed the scene.

An interview has also been conducted with a person of interest, but no charges have been filed at this time.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact the Dale County Sheriff’s Office at 774-2335 or the Wiregrass Violent Crime/Drug Task Force at 774-0482.

All callers will remain anonymous.
