The first day of school for Enterprise High School is Thursday, Aug. 6, and school administrators ask the public to be aware of the traffic flow patterns on the EHS campus.
“The EHS faculty and staff are very excited about the 2015-2016 school year,” EHS Vice Principal Stan Sauls said. “We would like to take this opportunity to explain the morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up traffic flow patterns on the EHS campus.”
Drivers are encouraged to use the Highway 84 Bypass entrance from Boll Weevil Circle when entering and exiting the school campus, Sauls said. There will be a set of red lines in this area that will create a lane for vehicles to exit, and drivers may not park in this lane.
The road in front of the high school is the primary parent drop off/pickup area and is one way only, Sauls said.
The second parent drop-off/pick-up area is in front of the Performing Arts Center. “When using this area, drivers should enter and exit the campus from the Main Street entrance,” Sauls said. “There should be no parking or drop-off/pick-up along curbs, other than the designated areas, or in turn lanes on the EHS campus.”
Sauls said the road in between Wildcat Stadium and the school building will be blocked off for parking and through traffic.
There is a map on the Enterprise High School website detailing campus traffic patterns, he added. “It may take the first couple of days for people to become accustomed to this procedure and we are asking for everyone to please be patient.”
