The body found on Highway 167 near Enterprise on March 25 has been identified.
According to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Public Information Officer Kevin Cook, the body is that of Emily Dean Freeman, 23, of Ariton.
Freeman was killed while she was lying in the roadway, according to Cook. The crash occurred at 3:20 a.m. at the 33.60-mile marker, five miles north of Enterprise. She was struck and killed by a 2005 Peterbilt.
Freeman was pronounced dead at the scene by Coffee County Coroner Robert Preachers.
The driver of the Peterbilt was not injured.
