An Enterprise man is in jail after Daleville police investigators charged him with sexually abusing a former employer.

Steven Michael Polson, 28, is charged with first-degree sexual abuse and second-degree burglary.

Daleville police investigator Sgt. Brad Meissner said Polson allegedly entered the victim’s home on Riverview Court at about 10:30 p.m., Jan. 4, and forced the adult female victim to perform sexual acts.

According to Meissner, Polson was a former employee of the victim.

Polson was booked in the Dale County Jail, Feb. 4, and was released, Feb. 6, under a $75,000 bond.

In other crime, a routine traffic stop, Jan. 24, led to the arrest of two individuals for marijuana and controlled substances.

Larry Eugene Hacker Jr., 36, of Daleville and James Daniel Armstrong, 33, of Clifton, Va., were in a vehicle which police stopped at approximately 3:18 p.m. for a traffic violation on South Daleville Avenue by Grocery Outlet.

Police on the scene reported a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and requested consent to search the vehicle, which was granted by the driver, Hacker.

Upon searching the vehicle, police found four Xanax pills in the center console.

A marijuana pipe, marijuana and a cigarette pack containing two pills of Lortab and two unknown half pills were also discovered on the front passenger side of the vehicle where Armstrong was sitting.

Both parties were booked in the Dale County Jail and were released on bond, Jan. 24.

Hacker was charged with possession of a controlled substance and was released under a $4,000 bond.

Armstrong was charged with possession of second-degree marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was released under a $3,000 bond.
