The Enterprise Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred during a house party on Saturday, April 16.

At 1:42 a.m., the EPD responded to a shooting that occurred on Baxter Street, according to Public Information Officer Sgt. Billy Haglund.

After arriving on scene, EPD officers were met by "dozens of people in the street" who were attending a house party where officers discovered four individuals had been shot, Haglund said.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a verbal and physical altercation preceded the shooting, during which numerous shots were fired, according to Haglund. The shooting occurred outside the residence, he said.

The individuals who received gunshot wounds were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries by ambulance and personal vehicle, Haglund said.

The EPD's Criminal Investigations Division (CID) is investigating the shooting and asks that anyone with information regarding this crime contact the EPD at (334) 347-2222 or leave a tip at www.enterprisepd.com.
