County officials said Jan. 29 that the investigation in a suspicious infant death that occurred Jan. 11 in Daleville is still ongoing and autopsy findings have not been released.
On Monday, Jan. 11, at approximately 7 p.m. Ozark/Dale County E911 received a call in reference to an unresponsive infant in the 200 block of Meadow Lane in Daleville, according to Capt. Mason Bynum with the Dale County Sheriff’s Office.
Bynum said officers from the Daleville Police Department and deputies from the Dale County Sheriff’s Office, along with Daleville Rescue, responded to the scene and found a 9 month-old male deceased.
No further information will be released at this time.
