The Level Plains Police Department arrested four people in two separate incidents on Tuesday, Nov. 17.
According to Chief John C. Mason, a traffic stop on Maree Street for a vehicle driving recklessly led to the arrest of three suspects.
"They just about hit a pedestrian," Mason said. "One of them tossed a meth pipe out, and we recovered it."
Upon searching the vehicle, officers found more drug paraphernalia and arrested the three suspects. One had an outstanding warrant in Houston County.
Later, LPPD received a call about a second subject at the same location with a handgun.
According to Mason, a witness said a man was walking inside a neighbor's house.
When the witness made contact with the subject, the man brandished a firearm and stated he was taking the neighbor to a police department.
"Well, he was a felon, and he was in possession of a firearm," Mason said.
Upon searching the suspect's vehicle, a second firearm, drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine were recovered.
LLPD is currently checking to see if the suspect's vehicle has been stolen from local areas. It was pulling a trailer that was reported stolen from Ozark.
Donnie Adkison, 30, of Clayhatchee, was arrested and charged with first-degree receiving stolen property, third-degree theft of property, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is currently being held at Dale County Jail. No bond has been set at this time.
Aeriel Schweer, 19, of Clayhatchee, was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. She has been released from the Dale County Jail on a $500 bond.
Joey Chandler, 26, of Clayhatchee, was also arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. He has been released from the Dale County Jail on a $500 bond.
Hunter Middleton, 21, of Newton, was arrested and charged with violation of probation for a second-degree possession of a forged instrument charge. He is currently being held at the Houston County Jail. No bond has been set.
