The Daleville High School girls basketball team lost to Geneva 39-32 in its first area game on Friday, Jan. 4.
The Lady Hawks led 13-4 at the end of the first quarter, but the Lady Panthers outscored Daleville 19-4 in the second quarter to gain a lead of 23-17 at halftime.
Geneva outshot Daleville 8-6 in the third quarter to close it out 31-23.
The Lady Hawks battled back and outshot Geneva 9-8 in the fourth quarter, but it wasn’t enough to gain the lead.
Daleville will travel to compete against Dale County on Tuesday, Jan. 8. Games begin at 4:30 p.m.
