Three days after his sentencing, Ronnie Gilley met with friends and investors at BamaJam Farms for a ribbon-cutting ceremony in honor of the grand opening of the John Anderson Swingin’ Swimmin Hole water park.

Gilley said the facility, located off of Highway 167 North, has done nothing but grow since its soft opening during the June BamaJam 2012 music festival.

The park includes zip lines, rope swings and water slides, as well as a pavilion area providing snacks, drinks and entertainment.

Though he’ll report to federal prison Aug. 27 to begin an 80-month sentence for a number of public corruption charges, Gilley said the water park will continue to grow with the addition of new water slides and all other phases of BamaJam Farms.

The slides, one set to be the world’s longest water slide, should be completed by this time next year, he said.

Saturday, Anderson will be shooting a video for his theme song "Hillbilly Swingin' Swimmin Hole" and will be performing live with his band.

Standard admission rates will apply. For more information, go to www.bamajamfarms.com.
