The Daleville Police Department has made six arrests in the past 48 hours, including two outside warrants.

Marcus Carmichael and Roslyn Johnson, both of Daleville, were arrested on Wednesday, after tree-trimmers spotted a suspicious vehicle backed up to a home on Blackhawk Drive. According to Sgt. Stacy Austin with the Daleville Police Department, the home had been burglarized Tuesday and then the alleged perpetrators returned Wednesday.

Carmichael, 50, was charged with third-degree burglary and first-degree theft or property. Johnson, 53, faces the same charges, plus an additional charge of false identity to obstruct justice. They were arrested and are currently in the Dale County Jail with no bond, awaiting their first court appearance.

Joseph Campbell, of Newton, was arrested Wednesday night, charged with receiving stolen property. Campbell was arrested after several vehicles were burglarized, taking items such as cellphones.

The owner of one of the phones tracked his phone with an online tracking service and notified the Daleville Police Department that it was moving very slow on Highway 84. The victim’s phone was recovered when a Daleville patrol car spotted Campbell, 30, walking along the highway.

Austin said Campbell denied stealing the phone, just receiving it. No other stolen items from the vehicular burglaries were recovered.

Campbell is currently in the Dale County Jail with no bond, awaiting his first court appearance.

Bryon Belin, of Daleville, was arrested Thursday for theft by deception. Belin, 30, who was wanted for the charged in Enterprise, was turned over to the Enterprise Police Department.

Sara Kate Blaze and Jacob Crawley, both of Daleville, were arrested Thursday on warrants from Covington County. Both were wanted for receiving stolen property. They were arrested after a patrol car spotted Blaze’s vehicle in town.

Austin said both Blaze and Crawley were handed over to Covington County law enforcement.
