NOTICE OF PROPOSED ACTION AT PUBLIC MEETING
Notice is hereby given that during its regular meeting, which will be open to the public and will be held on July 8, 2019 at 9:00 o’clock, A.M., Central Time (or at such other time as such meeting may be adjourned and reconvened), at 1065 E. McKinnon Street, New Brockton, Alabama 36351, the County Commission of Coffee County, Alabama, will consider adopting a resolution authorizing and approving an incentive grant to Ben E. Keith Company, a Texas corporation, (the "Company"), on the condition that the Company construct and operate its Southeast Division regional headquarters facility for the purpose of housing corporate offices, warehousing, and conducting distributing activities within Coffee County, Alabama (the "Project"). The benefits to the Company include the lease and conveyance of approximately 100 acres of land to the Company and the construction of certain infrastructure to support the Project, all in exchange for the Company undertaking to construct and operate the Project.
The incentive grant will benefit the public and the Company or its affiliates. The County expects the facility to stimulate job creation and industrial and economic development within the County. Notice of this public meeting is being published pursuant to the requirements of Section 94.01 of the Constitution of Alabama of 1901 (also known as Amendment 772 to the Alabama Constitution of 1901), as amended, and all other applicable laws, to the extent applicable.
