A Geneva man is out of jail on a $30,000 bond after his Oct. 3 arrest in connection with charges of sexual abuse of a two-year old child from Enterprise.
According to Dale County chief investigator Harvey Mathis, James D. Kelly, 30, was arrested after the child was interviewed at the Southeast Alabama Child Advocacy Center in Dothan and the matter was further investigated. The Dale County District Attorney's Office issued a warrant for his arrest.
The alleged victim is a female that was at Kelly's place of work.
After the child was interviewed Kelly was booked into the Dale County Jail under no bond, until his first appearance before District Judge Stan Garner.
The Dale County Sheriff's Office has a continuing investigation into the allegation, and anyone with information is asked to call the Dale County Sheriff's Office at 774-2335.
