In the 2019 season opener for the Enterprise High wrestling team, EHS picked up a 52-24 win over Charles Henderson on Thursday, Nov. 22, at home.

Enterprise won 10 of its 14 matches with Charles Henderson to get the season started off on the right foot.

Opening things up, Samuel Mason picked up a win over Charles Henderson’s Ramsay Tipp via pinfall in the 160-pound division followed up by Nathan Schmidt also earning a pinfall over Charles Henderson’s Nick Simmons in the 170-pound division.

In a 182-pound matchup, Xavier Torress fell via pinfall to Charles Henderson’s Dorian Shipman, but Colby Clark earned a pin over Charles Henderson’s Donquavious Adair in the 195-pound division.

Charles Henderson picked up another win when Damina Hart defeated Enterprise’s Joey Tarlavsky in the 220-pound weight class, but Enterprise bounced back as Dakotah Barber defeated Sam Knox of Charles Henderson in the 285-pound division.

Enterprise’s Zachary McFarland – who earned a spot in the state tournament last season – picked up a 17-2 win again Charles Henderson’s Brayden Nowling in the 113-pound division.

Charles Henderson’s Tyler Cooper earned a win over Enterprise’s Samuel Lynon in the 126-pound weight class and his teammate John Halter defeated Enterprise’s Terrance Brown in the 145-pound division.

Austin Butler of Enterprise defeated Charles Henderson’s Jackson West via DQ in the 152-pound division.

Enterprise’s Ashley Mayse (120-pound division), Brenden Clark (132-pound division) and Loriah Castro (138-pound division) each won via forfeit.

Enterprise will return to action on Dec. 3 in a tri-match against Beulah and Montgomery Catholic on Dec. 3 on the road.
