The Sun Belt Conference and Troy University announced on Tuesday, Nov. 17, that the conference had officially shifted around the schedule to accommodate for the rescheduling of several conference games that have been postponed this season.
Troy’s rivalry game with South Alabama on the road has been moved to Dec. 5, while the matchup with Coastal Carolina at home will now be played on Dec. 12.
Troy’s game with Middle Tennessee on Nov. 21 and at Appalachian State on Nov. 28 will remain the same.
If Troy wins the East Division Championship then the Louisiana-Monroe game will be cancelled but if Troy doesn’t win the division then Troy and Louisiana-Monroe will meet in Troy on Thursday, Dec. 17.
“I would like to thank Commissioner (Keith) Gill and the athletics directors across our great league for working together to assure that our dedicated and hard-working student-athletes are rewarded with the opportunity to play a complete schedule,” Troy Athletics Director Brent Jones said. “As we continue to witness, this has been the most unpredictable and unprecedented year in college athletics, and it is amazing to see everyone at the school, conference and national levels working together towards the common goal of safe competition.”
