Municipal court payments can be made through drop box

There is a way to pay municipal court costs without entering the Daleville City Hall building during the state-mandated facilities shut down caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Administrative Assistant to the Daleville City Mayor Kecia Dent said that municipal court payments may be made through the drop box outside of the city hall building on Daleville Avenue.

The payments must be a cashier check or money order only, Dent said. “Contact the municipal court at (334) 598-2033 during regular business hours for the amount owed before placing any payment in this box.”

Those who wish to enter a guilty plea are asked to sign the back of the ticket “Waiver of rights” and place the ticket in the envelope with the payment. “Partial payments are accepted after hours only if your payment is in a timely manner,” Dent said. “All cases must be in good standing before placing your payment in this box.”

People may also pay tickets online at www.dalevilleal.com. Clink the link that says “I want to pay my ticket” and follow the prompts.
