On April 10-12, members of the Daleville High School FBLA chapter attended the organization’s state conference in Birmingham and participated in several competitions. FBLA Member Amerikus Enfinger, Historian Joycelyn Tinker and Vice President Shakyra Pollard competed as a team in the Public Service Announcement (PSA) event where they had to create a PSA on soft skills needed in a business environment. President Phaybein Green competed in the Public Speaking event, advancing to the final round. According to Green, the students did not win, but they were glad to have experienced the thrill of the competition and plan to compete next year. Green and the other conference attendees also thanked Daleville Army Aviation Center Federal Credit Union, Daleville Dental and Pleasant Shade Baptist Church in Enterprise for their monetary and clothing donations to the DHS FBLA Professional Business Attire Closet.
