Easter was in the air during the Spring Market at the Monument on Saturday, April 6, when the Enterprise Farmer’s Market moved downtown to join businesses and vendors for a day of fun that included an Easter hat contest and parade, and the chance to meet the Easter Bunny.
In the Easter Hat Contest, contestants in four categories showed their creative side for Easter-themed headwear.
In the 6 years old and younger category, Naomi Bond won Most Creative, Tenley Ann Bomhard won Most Whimsical and Lauren Peterson won Most Beautiful.
In the 7-11 year old category, Lorali Bond won Most Creative, Allie Bond won Most Whimsical and Tarja Hobbs won Most Beautiful.
In the 12-17 year old category, Sarah Clima won Most Beautiful and Gabi Napoli won Most Creative.
In the 23 years old and older category, Donna Stephenson won Most Beautiful, Linda Bullock won Most Whimsical and Carmen Baum won Most Creative.
Brynlee Thiel won Best Overall in the Easter Hat Contest.
Of course, there is no Easter without eggs, and event-goers competed to see who had the best deviled-egg recipes in the Deviled Egg Contest.
Deana Workman’s eggs received the Most Eggstraditional award, and Andrew Coleman’s eggs received the Most Delicious award.
Mark Workman’s eggs received the Most Eggstraordinary award, and Jessica Benson's eggs received the Most Eggsquisite award. Toni Ladd’s eggs were named the Most Eggscellent of the contest.
