Medical Center Enterprise’s Chief Executive Officer, Jeff Brannon, has announced plans to leave his post at the end of February.
“Working with Medical Center Enterprise has been a rewarding experience and I have learned so much from this team,” said Brannon. “I will miss the outstanding board members, employees, physicians and volunteers who provide compassionate, personalized care for our patients every day.”
Brannon joined the hospital as CEO in April 2002.
During his tenure, the hospital has achieved much success in the areas of quality of care, patient safety and the satisfaction of patients, physicians and employees. Specifically, Medical Center Enterprise received the Top Performer awards from the Joint Commission in 2010 and 2011, and also received the Summit Award for Core Measures from Press Ganey in 2012.
The hospital has also completed two major expansions during his tenure, both focused on improving patient care for the citizens of Enterprise and the surrounding area.
“Our hospital has a solid leadership team and a firm foundation for providing quality patient care that will continue,” said Dr. Sam Sawyer, Chairman of MCE’s Board of Trustees. “Jeff has led Medical Center Enterprise through some amazing times in his 11 years here. Under his guidance, MCE doubled the size of the ER in 2002, completed a new MRI wing in 2008, the completion of a new inpatient surgical unit in 2008, the addition of two walk-in clinics, Hartford Family Medicine and Enterprise Express Care, and then opened the brand new women’s center just last year. Jeff was able to bring us current technology in CT, MRI, digital mammography and endoscopy. Through his guidance, our hospital consistently ranks in the top percentile for surgical and medical quality, as well as patient, employee and patient satisfaction. He has brought many new physicians to our medical staff and implemented a quality 24 hours a day, seven days a week hospitalist system for inpatient care. Yes, he has accomplished a lot, but his finest hour may have been on March 1, 2007 as he expertly led MCE’s mass casualty response team when a tornado hit Enterprise High School and surrounding neighborhoods. He rolled up his sleeves and delivered direct patient care. Jeff Brannon’s shoes will be hard to fill. We wish Jeff much success in the future and thank him for his many contributions to our hospital and community.”
