Dargie, Cortez sweep Coppinville spelling bee

Elementary and seventh-grade students throughout Enterprise City Schools are competing in spelling bees at their respective schools throughout the month of December.

Coppinville Junior High School hosted its spelling be Dec. 11.

From left, are the CJHS spelling bee winners Jamari McClain, third place; Nicole Cortez, second place and Alexander Dargie, first place.

Cortez and Dargie will compete in the countywide spelling in February against students from Enterprise, Elba, Kinston, Zion Chapel and New Brockton.
