Two individuals were recently arrested by the Enterprise Police Department on unrelated sex crime charges.
Billy Mooney, 57, of Enterprise, was arrested on Thursday, Feb. 23, and charged with first-degree rape, first-degree sodomy and a SORNA violation.
District Judge Chris Kaminski appointed attorney Gary Bradshaw to represent Mooney, who is currently being held at the Coffee County Jail on a $95,000 bond.
Mooney did not request a preliminary hearing.
Lajoy Fawn Rodriguez, 39, of Enterprise, was arrested after a grand jury indictment on Friday, Feb. 24, and charged with first-degree rape and two counts of human trafficking.
Kaminski declared Rodriguez indigent during her appearance via video after explaining her charges.
Kaminski appointed Rick Hollingsworth Jr. to represent her and ordered Rodriguez to have no contact, directly or indirectly, with any victim(s) named in the indictment warrants.
She is currently being held at the jail on a $100,000 bond.
