Enterprise High School recognized 19 athletes at a ceremony Wednesday, May 11, in the EHS Performing Arts Center who have received scholarships to compete at the next level. Three of the athletes had not signed their national letter of intent but did so at the beginning of the event. They were Tomar Hobdy, Elijah Terry and Darrell Davis. The rest of the athletes had signed earlier in the school year.
“Athletes we wish you the best of luck. We congratulate you and we thank you at the same time,” said EHS Athletic Director Trent Trawick. “We look forward to hearing about all your accomplishments in the next several years as you move on to the next chapter in your life. Bur remember as we always say, you’re always welcome in the halls of Enterprise High School because once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat.”
Below is a synopsis of each athlete and the school they will be attending:
Tomar Hobdy
Hobdy will be attending Enterprise State Community College on a basketball scholarship. He transferred to EHS last summer from Daleville and played on the varsity here and four years total. Hobdy was a member of the Dothan Eagle Super 12 in 2019-2020, an All-State Honorable Mention and All-Dale County Team in 2019-2020 and this past season was a member of the 2021 Thompson Thanksgiving Tournament Championship Team, 2022 7A Area 3 Tournament All-Tournament Team, 2022 7A Southeast Regional Championship Team and a member of the 2022 7A State Boys Championship Team.
Elijah Terry
Terry will be attending State College of Florida on a basketball scholarship. He transferred to Enterprise the summer between his 10th and 11th grade year and played on the EHS varsity team for the past two years. Terry was a member of the third team All-State for 2021 and the 2021 EHS state runner-up team. He participated in the Alabama/Mississippi All-Star Game in December and was named to the Dothan Eagle Super 12 and first team All-State for 2022. This past season Terry was a member of the 2021 Thompson Thanksgiving Tournament Championship Team and named Tournament MVP, 2022 7A Area 3 and 7A Southeast Regional Tournament All-Tournament Team, 2022 7A Southeast Regional Championship Team and a member of the 2022 7A State Boys Championship Team. He was named the 7A State Championship game MVP and was a finalist for the 7A Player of the Year Award.
Darrell Davis
Davis will be attending Doane University in Nebraska on a football scholarship. He played football in the Enterprise City School System for two years and one year on varsity. He played on every special team this past season and played on both offense and defense when asked to. Coaches stated that Davis is a team player and the kind of athlete they appreciate to have on the team.
Nick Cox
Cox will be attending the University of West Florida on a football scholarship. Cox has played football in the Enterprise City School System for six years, the last three on varsity. He has played five different positions on the offensive line which coaches say is a testament to his intelligence of the game and as a player. Cox graded 85 percent on all blocking assignments with 31 pancake blocks, eight knockdown blocks and started every single game as a junior and senior. He was a member of The Southeast Sun Elite 11 in 2021.
Quentin Hayes
Hayes will be attending the Air Force Academy in Colorado on a football scholarship. He played football for four years in the Enterprise City Schools and the last three years played varsity. His statistics include 2,201 yards passing, 27 passing touchdowns, 1,432 rushing yards and 13 rushing touchdowns. He was the winner of the Bill Bacon Award, Dothan Eagle Super 12 Honorable Mention and Elite 11 Offensive Player of the Year for 2021. Hayes also was a member of the 7A state basketball team this past season.
Hannah Chang
Chang will be attending Georgia College and State University on a volleyball scholarship. She played volleyball for six years in the Enterprise City School System and the last three on varsity. Her statistics include 544 Kills and 223 blocks. She was a member of the Dothan Eagle Super 12 in 2021, Joy FM Player of the Month and Team Captain for 2021. Chang received the Academic Award all four years at the high school and played in two Elite 8 AHSAA State Tournaments.
Zationna Horne
Horne will be attending Lurleen B. Wallace Community College in Andalusia on a volleyball scholarship. She played volleyball for six years in the Enterprise City School System and the last three years on varsity. Her statistics include 266 kills, 102 blocks and 105 digs. She competed in 208 varsity sets.
Kayden Taylor
Taylor will be attending Enterprise State Community College on a volleyball scholarship. She played volleyball in the Enterprise City School System for six years and the last two on varsity. Her statistics include 92 aces, 14 assists and 203 digs.
Joye Anderson
Anderson will be attending Lurleen B. Wallace Community College in Andalusia on a basketball scholarship. She played basketball in the Enterprise City School System for one year but on varsity the past five years in Enterprise and Daleville. Her statistics include 960 points, 564 rebounds and 403 steals. She was a member of the 2020-2021 Dale County All County Team and received the Defensive Award, Most Dependable Award and the Highest Free-Throw Percentage Award for 2022. She also participated in the Southeastern Select Women’s All-Star Game in 2022.
Jaida Gosha
Gosha will be attending Enterprise State Community College on a basketball scholarship. Jaida played basketball in the Enterprise City School System for six years and the last three on varsity. Her statistics include 1,059 points, 691 rebounds, 87 steals, 55 assists and 54 blocks. She was a 7A Honorable Mention player in 2020-2021 and a member of the Dothan Eagle Super 12 in 2021 and 2022. Gosha was invited to the Southeastern Select Woman’s All-Star Game. She had the highest rebound average, highest scoring average and received the Offensive Award for 2022.
Dashia Nelson
Nelson will be attending Lurleen B. Wallace Community College in Andalusia on a basketball scholarship. She played basketball in the Enterprise City Schools for six years and three years on varsity. Her statistics include 588 points, 243 rebounds and 190 steals. She participated in the Southeastern Select Woman’s All-Star Game, was a team captain this past season and was on the honorable mention team.
Zach McFarland
McFarland will be attending Brewton Parker College in Georgia on a wrestling scholarship. He participated in wrestling in the Enterprise City School System for four years and on varsity all four years. His statistics include an overall record of 149-18 with 57 by pin fall. McFarland was a three-time team captain and three-time Most Outstanding Wrestler. He was a four-time state qualifier finishing third his junior year and second his senior year. He is also the first wrestler to sign a wrestling scholarship from Enterprise High School.
Noah Loy
Loy will be attending Coastal Alabama South in Bay Minette on a baseball scholarship. He has played baseball in the Enterprise City School System for five years and the last three on varsity. His statistics include a .325 batting average, .415 on base percentage, .828 slugging percentage, 56 runs scored, 23 stolen bases, 29 RBI’s, 13 doubles, two triples and .919 fielding percentage. Loy is a three-time member of the Perfect Game All Tournament Team and was selected to the Alabama Baseball Coaches Association All-Star Event. He also is a member of the National Honor Society and serves EHS as a Wildcat Representative.
Will Powell
Powell will be attending Enterprise State Community College on a baseball scholarship. He played baseball in the Enterprise City School System for five years and the last two on varsity. His statistics include a .337 batting average, 18 doubles, two triples, four home runs, 57 RBI’s and 17 stolen bases over the past two seasons.
Daultyn Bradley
Bradley will be attending the University of Montevallo on an Esports scholarship. He participated in the Esports program in the Enterprise City School System for three years, all three being on varsity. His statistics include a 61-22 record as a starter (74 percent winning percentage), 15-13 playoff record, 215 All Time Goals, 80 All Time Assists and 61 All Time Saves. In 2020 he finished 14th out of 57 teams, in 2021 he finished 33rd out of 459 teams and in 2022 finished fifth out of 72 teams. He was the Alabama High School Rocket League MVP in 2021, participated in three state playoffs finishing in the Sweet 16 twice and the Elite Eight once. He was the Rocket League Captain for three years and the first ESport player to receive a college scholarship at EHS.
Hailey Rotenberry
Rotenberry will be attending Enterprise State Community College on a golf scholarship. She played golf in the Enterprise City School System for five years and the last two years on varsity. Her career statistics include Low Medalist at the Robert Trent Jones in Prattville at Capital Hill in 202. She is the first individual to receive a golf scholarship from ESCC which will field a team for the first time this upcoming year.
Emma Faulk
Faulk will be attending Auburn University at Montgomery on a softball scholarship. She played softball in the Enterprise City School System for six years and the last four on varsity. Her statistics include 82 games played, 210 at bats, 69 hits for a .329 batting average, 58 RBI’s, 19 doubles, three triples, eight home runs and an on base percentage of .476 over the past two seasons. She is a 2022 Team Captain and has also played on the Alabama Fury from 2012-2022.
Evan Stewart
Stewart will be attending Gadsden State on a tennis scholarship. He played tennis in the Enterprise City School System for six years, all six years on varsity. His statistics include playing in 156 matches with a 122-44 record. Stewart is ranked in the USTA Top 25 in Alabama. He played in the 2021 AHSAA All-Star Games in Montgomery, was a team captain for 2021 and 2022 and qualified for the 7A state tennis tournament in singles and doubles for three years.
Kendrett Green
Green will be attending Waldorf University in Forest City, Iowa on a track scholarship. He participated in track in the Enterprise City School System for five years and four on varsity. His statistics include a third place finish in the 4x100 at sectionals and second place in the 4x100 at AAU regional. He participated in the 2017 indoor state, 2022 indoor state and 2022 outdoor state track meets.
