TO THE TAXPAYERS AND CITIZENS OF THE CITY OF ENTERPRISE, ALABAMA:
Notice is hereby given to you that a petition has been filed in the Court under the provisions of Article 17 of Chapter 6 of Title 6 of the CODE OF ALABAMA 1975, as amended, requesting the Court to validate and confirm the proposed issuance by the City of Enterprise, Alabama (the "City") of a $40,000,000 maximum principal amount of its General Obligation Warrants, Series 2021-C (the "Series 2021-C Warrants"), pursuant to Ordinance No. 04-06-21-B (the “Authorizing Ordinance”), adopted by the governing body of the City on April 6, 2021.
The Series 2021-C Warrants will be issued by the City in order to finance the costs of certain capital improvements in the City, including, but not limited to, acquisition, construction and equipping of park and recreational facilities and purchase and/or donation of land and provision of services and funds related directly and indirectly to the location of a Veteran’s Home in the City and such other Series 2021-C Improvements as the City may hereafter determine to be in the public interest, notwithstanding any incidental benefit accruing to any private entity or entities.
All interested persons may examine and review the Series 2021-C Warrants, the Authorizing Ordinance and related documents and make copies thereof at their personal expense, at the offices of the City Clerk during normal business hours.
The Court has issued an order against the taxpayers and citizens of the City requiring them to show cause, if any they have, at a hearing of said complaint to be held in Courtroom B of the Coffee County Courthouse in Enterprise, Alabama on the 11th day of May, 2021 at 10:00 a.m., why the Series 2021-C Warrants, the means provided for the payment of the Series 2021-C Warrants, and all provisions, covenants and agreements for the benefit of the Series 2021-C Warrants as set forth in the Authorizing Ordinance should not be validated and confirmed.
You are therefore required at the time and place hereinabove set forth to show cause, if any you have, why the said Series 2021-C Warrants, the means provided for the payment of the Series 2021-C Warrants, and all provisions, covenants and agreements for the benefit of the Series 2021-C Warrants as set forth in the Authorizing Ordinance, should not be validated and confirmed.
