Fifth 'Day of Service' proclaimed in Enterprise

“A special day for the betterment of our city,” was recognized with a proclamation by Enterprise Mayor William Cooper presented to members of the Oscar Club by Enterprise District 1 Councilwoman Sonya Rich at an Oscar Club meeting held Feb. 17 at the Enterprise Farmers Market on Main Street. March 19 is the date for the Fifth Annual Day of Service during which individuals, civic clubs, churches, youth groups and businesses adopt a service project to be performed Saturday, March 19. “This volunteer effort and spirit will involve hundreds of residents in hundreds of hours of service for the betterment of our city,” said Rich. ‘Community action is instrumental in changing lives and embodying hope.”A short kickoff ceremony is March 19 at 8 a.m. at Bates Memorial Stadium.
