Athletes from several different sports at Enterprise High School competed this week in the AHSAA All-Star Week in Montgomery.
On Monday, the North and South teams competed at Arrowhead Golf Club where the North All-Star team swept both the boys’ and girl’s events. The boys’ match results included Haleyville’s Jake Temple and Weaver’s Micklaus Ledbetter beating Smiths Station’s Jackson Williams and Enterprise’s Jackson Bailey 11-7 in Match 4.
Also on Monday, the South All-Stars defeated the North 5-0 in the first game of a baseball doubleheader and the two teams tied in the second game 2-2. In Game 1, Wildcat Andrew Shiver went 0-2 with a walk and in Game 2 he went 1-2.
On Tuesday, the North All-Stars won the girls’ tennis competition 6-3. In No. 5 singles, EHS’ Katie Nelson defeated Katra Peterson of Cullman 6-3, 6-4 while in No. 6 singles Enterprise’s Anna Warren fell to Panavvi Mandadpu of James Clemons 6-1, 6-3. In No. 3 doubles action, Nelson/Warren fell to Vivi Blakely of Decatur and Sydney Porter of Altamont 6-2, 6-1.
Wednesday night, the North All-Stars won both the girls’ and boys’ soccer matches. Wildcat Robert Suter had one shot on goal as the South fell to the North 6-3.
