The New Brockton Lady Gamecocks (13-10, 3-0) traveled to Ariton on Oct. 1 and split a tri-match with Ariton and Dale County.
Against Dale County, New Brockton earned a 2-0 sweep with a 25-12 win in the first set and a close 25-23 win in the second set.
New Brockton was led by Mary Beth Smith with 10 kills in the win, while Jordan Boland added five kills.
Ariton was able to defeat the Lady Gamecocks 25-12 and 25-17 in two sets to close out the tri-match, however.
New Brockton also earned a 3-0 sweep over area foe Zion Chapel on Sept. 30.
The Lady Gamecocks won each set 25-16, 25-20 and 25-22.
Senior Mary Beth Smith led the way for New Brockton with 14 kills, while Jordan Boland and Anna Clark had three kills each.
New Brockton also picked up a 3-0 win over Pike County on Sept. 24 winning each set 25-17, 25-13 and 25-8.
Senior Paula McKenna led New Brockton with six aces and Smith had nine kills.
New Brockton hosts its own tri-match on Oct. 10 against Elba and Geneva County with tip off scheduled for 4 p.m.
