The Enterprise High School indoor track team traveled to Birmingham on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 to compete in the Last Chance Invitational.
A number of Wildcats and Lady Cats set school and personal records at the meet.
The girls 4x400 relay team took home a No. 20 finish as they broke a school record with a time of 40:36.16. The team consisted of Rachel Peterson, Aniyah Kitt, Natalie Warner and Lauren Rodgers.
The girls 4x200 team also set a school record with a time of 1:50.38 and finished in 11th place. That team consisted of Peterson, Kitt, Mya Hill and Amarriia Leggett.
Rodgers ran a career-best as she set the school record in the 400-meter dash finishing No. 68 with a time of 1:07.21.
Kitt also set a school-record in the girls 60-meter dash with a time of 7.91 as she came in eighth place, while LZ Leonard set a school record in the boys 60-meter dash with a time of 7.33 as he finished No. 66 overall.
Leonard’s teammate Jaylon Webster also had a career-best in the 60-meter dash as he finished with a time of 7.47 in 103rd place.
Kitt’s teammate Peterson also finished No. 20 in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.08.
Molly Ledbetter finished No. 22 in the girls shot put, while Dain Grimes finished in 16th place in the boys long jump. Teammate Tyrone Clark finished right behind Grimes at No. 19 in the long jump.
