Both the Enterprise High School and New Brockton High School track and field teams sent a number of athletes to the state meet on May 2-4.
Enterprise traveled to Gulf Shores for the Class 4A-7A State Track and Field Meet with four Enterprise athletes earning Top 10 finishes at the meet.
Aniyah Kitt finished in 10th place of the girls 100-meter dash and 19th in the girls 200-meter dash.
The girls 4x100-meter relay team finished in 19th place and the girls 4x800-meter relay team finished in 13th place.
For the boys, LZ Leonard finished No. 19 in the boys 100-meter dash and No. 22 in the boys 200-meter dash, while Matt Watson finished in eighth place in the boys 800-meter run and Evan Crawford finished No. 15 in the boys 3200-meter run.
Josh Von Eschenbach finished No. 22 in the boys 300-meter hurdle and Tyrone Clark finished No. 18 in the boys triple jump.
The boys 4x100-meter relay team finished No. 17 and the 4x400-meter relay team finished in eighth place. The 4x800-meter relay team finished in 10th place.
The New Brockton track and field team traveled to Cullman on May 3 for the Class 1A-3A State Meet.
Kaden Hood finished in ninth place in the boys 100-meter dash, while Kyan Horne came in 12th place in the boys long jump. Julian Nobles finished No. 19 in the boys discus throw and Jake Holloway took fifth place in the boys shot put. Cody Murphy also came in eighth in the shot put.
The boys 4x100-meter relay team took 10th place.
