Jackie Bradley Hughes, 72, of Asheboro, N.C., passed away on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2020 at Randolph Hospice House.
Mrs. Hughes was born in Coffee County on Dec. 21, 1947 to Eugene and Doris Bradley, who preceded her in death. Jackie was a good Christian lady who loved her church family at Sunset Avenue Church of God. She loved to take care of her grandchildren and sew. Jackie enjoyed listening to Southern Gospel singing, especially when her son sang. Her passion was to help others.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Gerald Hughes; son, Phillip Hughes (Starla) of Asheboro, N.C.; grandsons, Ross Hughes of Goose Creek, S.C., and Ryan Hughes of Asheboro; and sister, Gloria McCrummen (Terry) of Elba.
Jackie’s body will lie in state on Sunday, Sept. 27, from 1 – 5 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Sept. 28, at 2 p.m. at Sunset Avenue Church of God, 900 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro with Pastor Boyd Byerly and Rev. Charles Moses officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park.
