Kinston man charged with attempted murder

A Kinston man has been charged with attempted murder after a domestic argument. According to a release on Thursday, Nov. 7, at approximately 6:45 p.m., the Kinston Police Department was notified of a firearm assault in the 200 block of Hickman Avenue.

Officers found the victim, Donald Wise, 39, of Kinston, suffering from a gunshot wound. According to the release, it is believed that Wise was involved in a domestic argument with Tifton Norsworthy, 19, also of Kinston, before being shot. Wise was transported to Southeast Health in Dothan with life threatening injuries. Norsworthy cooperated with law enforcement.

Norsworthy was charged with attempted murder and placed in the Coffee County Jail. Kinston Police Department was assisted in this case by the Coffee County Sheriff's Office, the Elba Police Department, and District Attorney Tom Anderson's office.  Kinston Police Chief Andy Tew said no additional information is available at this time.
