A traffic stop at Green House Inn and Lodge in Daleville resulted in a drug arrest March 1.

According to police, at approximately 1 p.m. Sgt. Jason Grantham pulled a 2002 Ford Escort over after noticing the front passenger was not wearing a seat belt.

The driver, Carl William Windham, 51, of Daleville, exited the vehicle and Grantham performed a pat down finding a metal pipe used for snorting or smoking cocaine.

Grantham obtained consent to search the vehicle and found several personal items including two clear baggies containing nine grams of cocaine.

Windham was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was booked in the Dale County Jail and released on a $6,000 bond March 5.
