Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Mart Marler

Holly Cheyenne Hughes and Matthew Mart Marler were united in marriage June 5 at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Enterprise.

Dr. Benjamin Bowden officiated the double-ring ceremony.

Parents of the bride are Bill and Jena Hughes of Enterprise.

Parents of the groom are Marty Marler and Angie Grimsley, both of Enteprise.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father.

She carried a hand held bouquet of cream Mondial Roses accented by Silver Dollar Eucalyptus and Dusty Miller.

The bride wore a sweetheart fit and flare wedding dress, part of the Sincerity line designed by Justin Alexander, including lace appliqués covering the bodice and continuing into the skirt to the hem and bridal button down detail on the back. A detachable soft skirt that was attached at the waistline with an embellished beaded belt that brought volume and featured lace appliqués throughout the added chapel length train. It was a mix of pink champagne and Ivory and fit for a princess. The dress was complimented by a cathedral length see- through veil.

The maid of honor was Macy Marler of Enterprise, sister of the groom.

The bridesmaids were Danielle Jowers of Enterprise; Celine McCreery of Enterprise; and Jordan Morrow of Elba, cousin of the bride.

Best man was Logan Jester of Wicksburg.

Groomsmen were Chase Hughes of Enterprise, brother of the bride; Tyson Holder of Enterprise; and Will Marler of Enterprise, brother of the groom.

The flower girl was Hadley Grimsley and the ring bearer was Welles Grimsley, both of Birmingham, both cousins of the groom.

A reception followed at the Moore Barn in Enterprise. Music and entertainment was provided by Entertainment Plus.

Other important participants were Lita Murray of Enterprise and Gina Menold of Huntsville.

The wedding party was entertained with a rehearsal dinner at Ketchum’s Restaurant, Catering and Venue in Hartford, hosted by the groom’s parents.

Pre-nuptial parties

An outdoor bridal shower was given May 16, hosted by Libby Barker in New Brockton. A lemonade drive-through bridal shower was held May 23, hosted by the bride’s parents, at their home in Enterprise.

Due to Covid-19 the couple’s honeymoon to Barbados was postponed and they spent a week in Panama City Beach, Fla.
