Mr. and Mrs. David Caylor of New Brockton announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashlie Marie, to Bryan Austin Allums of Montgomery, son of Glenda Allums and the late Terry Allums of New Brockton.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Guy Caylor and the late Margulene Caylor of New Brockton, Charles Denton of Melbourne, Fla., and the late Cordia Wallace of Enterprise.

She is a graduate of New Brockton High School and a 2010 graduate of Troy University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing.

She is currently employed at Baptist South Hospital in Montgomery as a registered nurse.

The future bridegroom is the grandson of Martha Byrd and the late Bobby Byrd of New Brockton and the late A.B. and Evelyn Allums of Enterprise.

He is a graduate of New Brockton High School and a 2008 graduate of Troy University with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.

He is currently employed with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office as a sheriff’s deputy.

The wedding is planned for 6:30 p.m. Oct. 8, at the Daleville Cultural and Convention Center. A reception will follow at the Center.
