Easter was in the air at the Enterprise Farmers Market on Saturday, March 24.

Visitors of all ages had a number of activities to take part in, including coloring, an Easter hat contest and parade and meeting the Easter Bunny.

In the Easter hat contest in the six years and younger category, Tenley Ann Bomhard won first place and Eleanor Salmon won second place in the contest.

In the 7-11 year old category, Sara Napoli won first place and Allie Bond won second place.

In the 12-15 year old category, Farah Clima won first place and Zoie Wilson won second place.

In the 22 years and older category, Linda Bullock won first place and Carmen Baum won second place.

Overall winners were Elise and Mark Waters, who were Egg-Leah and Darth Hare.

Of course, there is no Easter without eggs, and event-goers could also enter their best deviled-egg recipes in the Deviled Egg Contest at the Farmers Market.

Iloma Smith’s eggs received the Most Traditional award, and Diane Napoli’s eggs received the Most Delicious award.

Carolyn Davis received the Best Non-Traditional award for her recipe, and Elaine Towner’s eggs received the Most Beautiful award. Towner was also the overall winner of the contest.

The event sponsors were Shopaholic, Milky Moos, Goolsby Bros. Plumbing & Electrical and Leon’s. Downtown businesses and farmers market vendors also provided prizes.
