Tennessee man charged with arson

A Tennessee man has been charged with arson after allegedly lighting a mattress on fire, according to a press release from Enterprise Police Department Public Information Officer Lt. Billy Haglund.

On Nov. 3 at 7:15 p.m., EPD officers responded to a suspicious fire call at the Boll Weevil Inn located on Main Street, according to the release.

Officers discovered that a mattress had been set on fire in a rented room, according to the release.

EPD detectives arrested and charged Clinton Ashford James, 53, of Knoxville, Tenn., with first degree arson, according to the release.

James was transported to the Coffee County Jail after arrest.
