CCBOE recognizes NBHS student

The Coffee County Board of Education recognized a New Brockton High School student at its regularly scheduled board meeting on May 14. Mariah Bush, an eighth grader, placed first in the poetry competition at the State Junior Beta Convention. Coffee County Schools Superintendent Kevin Killingsworth said she is the first NBHS student to place first in the competition and that she has been invited to the national Junior Beta Convention.
