An Enterprise woman was arrested in connection with two vehicles that were stolen on Aug. 27, according to a press release from Enterprise Police Department Public Information Officer Billy Halgund.
On Aug. 30 at 3 p.m., EPD arrested Tatyana Silas, 20, and charged her with two counts of first degree theft of property. She was transported to the Coffee County Jail following the arrest, according to the release.
The two vehicles, a tan 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis and a silver 205 Suzuki XL7, were recovered in Brundidge and will be returned to their owners, according to the release.
The vehicles were originally stolen on Aug. 27 when a tow truck driver pulled up to the rear of Enterprise Car Wash, hooked up the vehicles and drove away, according to an earlier release.
EPD detectives determined that the driver was fraudulently hired so the driver was not charged, according to the release.
The EPD thanked the Pike County Sheriff’s Office and Brundidge Police Department for their assistance in the investigation.
