Two arrested for trafficking

The Alabama Drug Enforcement Task Force Region B agents arrested and charged two Barbour County people with drug trafficking, according to a press release from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Agents arrested Marcus Grubbs, 35, and Melissa Peterson, 29, and recovered approximately 1,402 grams of marijuana, 70 grams of MDMA, 605 grams of methamphetamine, 86 grams of cocaine, 36 vials of THC and six firearms in the arrest, according to the release.

Grubbs was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, trafficking marijuana, tracking cocaine, trafficking MDMA, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and is being on a $500,000 bond, according to the release. Peterson was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, trafficking marijuana, trafficking MDMA, trafficking cocaine, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and is being held on a $500,000 bond, according to the release.

Both were placed in the Barbour County Jail.

The ADETF Region B thanked the Dale County Sheriff’s Office and Barbour County Sheriff’s Office for assisting in the case.
