Johns Chapel A.M.E. demonstrates "Faith in Action"

Early morning grocery shoppers at the Piggly Wiggly Store on Geneva Highway in Enterprise were greeted with a $25 gift card Friday, May 29, courtesy of the Johns Chapel A.M.E. Church. According to Rev. Willie White, the church donated $1,000 in gift cards to the first 40 shoppers who arrived as the store opened at 7 a.m. “We want to be a blessing to the community in these times,” White said. “The church buildings may be closed but we—God’s people—are the church.” From left, are Laureen McDaniel, Helen Nichols, Freddie Engram, Marion Griffin and White.
