Some Coffee County roads deemed closed and impassable have been reopened as of 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17.
Coffee County Emergency Management Agency Director James Brown said that the previous “Impassable Travel Advisory” for North Coffee County roads and bridges has been lifted and replaced with a specific road closure list.
“Because county officials cannot guarantee conditions won’t change, drivers are reminded to continue to use caution while traveling and if there is water in the road ‘turn around don’t drown,’” Brown said.
Closed/impassable roads include:
CR 682 at Double Bridges Creek;
CR 205 approximately one-half mile east of Alabama Highway 87;
CR213 at Shoal Creek approximately one mile east of Alabama Highway 87;
CR 231 at Alabama 87 and CR 224;
