With his wife Celeste holding the family Bible, Justin Flowers, left, was sworn in to office as the New Brockton Town Councilman for District 2 by Coffee County Probate Judge Jodie Thompson at the council meeting Nov. 4. The new councilman is the son of Glenda and Harold Flowers and the grandson of Annie Jewel Flowers and the late Willie D. Flowers. Flowers was appointed to fill the council seat vacated by Councilman Eddie Cordle who opted not to seek reelection.
